1. How should I choose a realtor?
The best way to select a realtor would be by referral. Ask around. Talk to your friends & family who recently have had a good experience with a realtor. You might also notice the real estate signs in your area. Who seems to control the market?

Your realtor should be someone who is ongoing in pursuing their real estate education. What designations have they earned? How long have they been in real estate? This are some sample questions you can ask.

2. How should I price my home for sale?
Ask your realtor for a free market analysis. This will help determine a fair price. Your home should be priced equal to what other homes in a similar condition are priced.

3. How can I get top dollar for my home?
Make sure your home is in top condition when you put it on the market. Ask your agent to help you decide what needs to be done.

Of course, clean everything from the windows to the carpet, tidy up the landscaping, empty closets, de-clutter every room. Paint if necessary. Make your home sparkle. And remember to keep it that way during the listing.
